The Outstanding Contribution award is for the student representative who has demonstrated exceptional contribution to developing, assisting and improving MONSU. This award is sponsored by Whelan & Cook.
The Peninsula winner is: Krista Renshaw, Activities Chairperson for MONSU Peninsula (2008 - 2010)
"Krista has volunteered and worked for MONSU Peninsula as Activities Chair for nearly four years. She has successfully organised many events and activities for Peninsula students and last year created the Comedy Night which has been very successful in raising funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Not only has she organised many events she has also trained many students in the Activities Deputy role, which has allowed them to take on other roles."
"Continued to develop and improve the events and activities during the year at Peninsula. She always put in the extra effort for MONSU"
"Krista has done an amazing job over the last few years. She honestly transformed the Activities portfolio. When she took it over, it was at an all time low with badly organised activites, which did not engage the students. With Krista's enthusiasm and consistency, she enabled Activities at Peninsula to become an active and well organised portfolio. When she had to leave her position due to school commitments, she compiled an amazing Activities Guide for the next Activities Chair. She was a pleasure to work with due to her professionalism and passion."
The Caulfield winner is: Ryan De Remer, Activities Officer for MONSU Caulfield (2009 - 2010)
"Ryan has developed his leadership skills to be a really positive force at MONSU. He encourages others to be involved and honestly cares about how MONSU is perceived amongst the student community. Ryan gives alot of thought to his activities and the outcome it will leave with the student community."
"Ryan has developed his organisational and communication skills for his own style which is really effective! I wish him all the luck in the world."
"What a gun. Ryan thinks up ideas and sees them into fruition. He is constantly thinking of new events to run on campus, and his enthusiasm for uni life is unparalleled. He is currently doing his 2nd last year at uni, and smashing HD's whilst kicking MONSU's activities portfolio into 5th gear. His he brought MONSU up to date with promotional material through his design expertise, and has set a new benchmark, which will be hard to top for many years. He has been one of the most efffective Activities officers to date, and his efforts are the epitome of demonstrating exceptional contribution to developing, assisting and improving MONSU."
"Ryan never fails to amaze me with his creativity and passion. He has been a great Activities Chair and taken the role to a new level. MONSU Caulfield has been very lucky to have such a great rep on board. Mid Week Meet is a great initiative. He has made MONSU Caulfield more accessible to the students on campus."
"Upstanding guy, always gets stuff done. Wouldn't be possible without him. Every event Remer is there organizing it to make the thing run."
"Raising MONSU Awareness, particularly in the First Year student communities. Also for organising and running various events keeping the calendar constantly filled with MONSU Goodness."
