The Peninsula winner is: Aleem Nizari, OSS Director for MONSU Peninsula

"Aleem coordinated a fantastic Multicultural Week at Peninsula campus in 2010."

"He showed fantastic development of his OSS committee, as the start of the year saw him lead the Booze Cruise and then again improve his events in Semester Two at Multicultural Week."

"Multicultural Week was really well developed and coordinated. It was within budget and Aleem used his networks and contact to keep costs low while still providing a fantastic event that showcased OSS at Peninsula campus."

"Aleem has done an amazing job with OSS this year. He has orchestrated a well organised and interactive Multicultural Week. He is also a good leader for the committee and has motivated them to do great things this year."

The Caulfield winner is: Amber Horsburgh, Welfare Officer for MONSU Caulfield

"Psgetdegrees idea and implementation - Amber has shown creativity and reach with her program psgetdegrees. This initiative is a great platform for all students to be involved at some level. It highlights issues around marks that generally don't get discussed. Psgetdegrees is a common theme running through all courses and most students can relate. Amber has shown how to connect with a variety of student through artwork and design and also in word format, through the website development and word of mouth. I think Amber has used her communication skills and network to actively implement a brand new element to her portfolio. She is ace."

"Stress Less Day and Week 4 have been prime examples of Amber's dedication to the success of the Welfare committee and in tern the students of Monash University. The Week 4 programme had a new spin to it with, an op shop fashion parade; market stalls on the lawns and a carpooling day to decrease the carbon emissions of Monash Students. Stress Less Day held the same creative vibe including the addition of free chai and hot chocolates and market stalls to the previously held Stress Less Day. Amber also helps out at all other committee events showing that her high motivation is not just kept to her own committee"

"She has brought a very original spin to her portfolio. Ps Get Degrees is a great program. She should be commended for her originality and enthusiasm for getting students involved in activities."

"Showed fantastic initiative in 2010 developing the Welfare portfolio, including new concepts and activities."

"Amber has excelled herself through her efforts during Student Survival Week and Stress less day in particular. They have been the very successful, busy, fun and provided a range of services and goods, such as market stalls, lollie bags, scheduled information seminars and organised a free hot chocolate vendor and she has tried new initiatives throughout the year such as the 'P's get degrees'"

"P's Get Degrees is a great campaign. Stress less Day was a huge success. Many good ideas from her that are actually followed through with and that reap rewards."
